Ultrace 2025 - Event coverage

I’ve thought about, and tried, splitting bigger posts into multiple parts a few times now and all in all it doesn’t really to anything rather than interrupt the vibe you get into when reading through event coverages. Even though I know this is going to be a long ass post I want to use as many of the photos that I’ve taken time to take, sort through and edited as I can. I don’t see a meaning discarding photos for the sake of keeping the posts short to not loose the readers focus. If you loose interest I still appreciate you checking the post out and hope you still got a glimpse of the great atmosphere that Ultrace as an event supplies.
As media changes photo media is fairly dead at this point but I personally still really appreciate reading about and looking through blog posts from other nerdy people who just want to showcase their passion. For this reason I still want to share my pov from the few events I go to and showcase the cool builds around me. How many the posts reaches doesn’t really matter anymore. I mainly want to be able to come back to these posts a couple of years in the future and look back at the trips and experiences that I’ve been lucky enough to have.

Enough babbling. I wanted to try and shoot vertically this event. Something I’ve rarely done before. The photos are in 5:4 to be fitting for Instagram, but the website provider only allows for 4:3 scale meaning that all photos get a liiittle bit cropped. Most photos will be posted in the original 5:4 format to the “new” @lardelcom Instagram page.

This event always offer a very wide selection of cars, but all cars represent the highest quality of style within their own category.

Same goes for the drift cars. Two of my favorite cars at the event. Super clean builds.

Even though Next Level wasn’t hosting the drift portion of Ultrace this year most of the NLD guys were still there to help and to enjoy the event.

Sure, I’ve mainly photographed the cars that I personally like the most which will be a lot of old japanese cars and Porsche’s, but those are also cars that are very represented at the event.

@datsun_europe brought his orange 240z from last year, along with a customers 240 and a brand new 400z that can be spotted in the background.

My top pick from the car show. A Mark II perfecting the kaido racer style, a style rarely seen in Europe.

What if Ja Rule drove an EG Civic instead of the Integra in F&F? Well now we know what that would’ve looked like.

There is probably 100000 996/997’s sitting on BBS E88 out there, but it’s for sure a killer combo.

Since last year this LTO E36 lost it’s skateboard wheels and got some widened OEM splits instead.

A true classic built to perfection. From the wheels and OEM striping to the seats and vents in the hood, such a creative yet clean build. Love to see builds like this.

Same thing here. Super nice build sporting a full Zender bodykit, classic BBS RS wheels, a fully redone itnerior and small details like the heckblende connecting the tail lights.

Why Ultrace stands out from every other show on the planet in my opinion is the diversity and mixture between high quality show/stance cars and old school race cars. Cars that for most of us represent peak era motorsport and cars that we didn’t thing we’d ever get to lay our eyes on.

Even tho new race cars are not my cup of tea it was cool seeing the Race Service AMG in the flesh, a car that was flown in from the states.

Hiding behind the AMG we have a livery-less Maserati MC12.

Another true legend; the Audi Sport Quatro S1 from the Group B era of rallying.

I tried to keep this part of the post as short as I could, but the Rennmeister owned Jägermeister cars are true period correct pieces of art.

All cars shows us glimpses of the features and technology behind previous generations of race cars.

The extreme aero on the Alfa Romeo 155 truly is a work of art.

Their booth, just as last year, was very well though out. Everything orange of course, an E30 M3 in a glass “toy” box and screens in the background showing videos of the cars in action.

While drooling over the Rennmeister cars the future winner of Ultrace 2025 rolled by, a build inspired by the same era of racecars.

Million dollar cars in all their glory…

…but out of the “legendary hypercars” of this display the only car that I was truly impressed by was the Koenig Special Ferrari Testarossa. A car that truly showcased the crazyness of late 80’s tuning shops. No detail was overlooked. The engine was spiced up, the car got a crazy bodykit and the interior is completely redone.

It’s not easy standing out from the crowd around the main stage competing against cars that alone would break most car shows.

And the well deserving winner of Ultrace 2025 is, as mentioned above, the Porsche 935 build by Madlane in Japan. A car that shows the beauty of race cars and shows that show cars aren’t always race cars, but race cars are always show cars.

Fully “caboh fibah” R32 GT-R.

Really clean Ferrari 328 with kevlar bits matching the kevlar-colored BBS wheels.

A modell we rarely get to see in europe; the Toyota GX71. A boxy car that represents the old japanese “shakotan” style perfectly.

And this is a very clean example of one featuring some clean OEM options, SSR MK3’s and of course a pair of Pioneer TS-X30’s on the parcell shelf.

Another very nice example is this white, previously old-lady-owned, Mark II with blue toned interios from factory backed by some matching aftermarket parts.

Another Porsche with a race-inspired look.

And another really clean and well built E30 with a bunch of cool and rear details.

Swung by the friends from back home and had a chat too.

Wish I got to hear this Judd-powered E36 racecar start up. yet another time capsule from the golden era of motorsport.

I love japanese cars, but I have to admit that a 335/M3 E90/E92 with some upgrades probably would make the most fun daily you could have. This just looks awesome.

A car that was cool to see in person, but mostly for what this car was rather than what is has become. Everybody builds their cars how ever they like and if you can start your build with a really good base you should. Most people do not care, and rightfully so, but for us 90’s-00’s lovers it hurts a bit to see the Endless demo-drag S15 standing stationary as a show car.

Seeing a well build Mitsubishi Galant was NOT on my bingo card.

Finally, on to the drifting.

Very happy to be back in Poland meeting some friends from the year prior and catching up with the regular suspects <3. Starting of with my man Fiji and his one of a kind E36.

This year featured some iconic builds that many of you most likely have seen at one point or another if you’ve been on the internet long enough.

Back for some revenge after last years date with the outer wall of turn one is Al and his AE86.

One of the iconic builds mentioned earlier is the Nascar powered AE86, or the DW86, that the guys from Driftworks built many moons ago.

Being here with the Vicious Company guys and Bogdan from Oaktree Outlaws they got their own dedicated Ultrace post a while back that you can check out here.

Made me very happy to see so many cars running the Style First air freshener.

Oakes and LZ made sure to get as much use out of their cars as possible.

One of the personal highlights of the event, seeing Suzuki-San again, this time with his Ferrari 360, another iconic build built over 10 years ago.

And I will not apologize the slightest for the amount of photos I’ll post of this car. Such a cool car, especially in action.

Not mad at all about the fact that Suzuki himself put a Lardel-designed Vicious Company sticker on the back window of his rarri…

Enjoy some action shots from the tight parking lot track.

The fence up at the show was constantly packed as always.

Well Al’s AE survived better this year than last year at least.

Will forever be one of my favorite polish drift cars.

Drift-hours are over which means burnouts, dumb people rushing the track, cars breaking etc before everybody lines up to get some last minute chats in before we all go home.

Suzuki-San managed to overheat his 360 at this time too…

Thank you to everybody who supported Lardel in one way or another at the event, thank you to Vicious Company for an amazing trip, thank you to Ultrace for hosting a great event.

And thank you to those of you who checked out the post. Means alot.
